Kenny completed his Master Degree of Architecture in 2001 at the University of Bath and obtained his professional qualification in 2004, earning the Royal Institute of British Architects Charteredship in the same year. In the early years, Kenny worked for David Hutchinson Partnership, Wyvern Architects in the UK, and TR Hamzah Yeang in Malaysia, contributing to projects like the National Library of Singapore.
Kenny joined IDOM UK in 2001, a multidisciplinary company with the head office based in Spain. During this period, he played significant roles in projects in the UK, Spain, and was involved in the design for the Hospital of Harbin Medical University in North-East China. He was also part of the First prize-winning competition for the Waterford Waterfront in Ireland and the new headquarters for Banco Santander in Madrid.
In 2005, he joined London-based Arup Associates, where he actively participated in several notable projects. These included the first LEED Platinum certified data centre for Citigroup in Frankfurt, Germany, and Ropemaker Place, an office tower for British Land in the City of London.
After returning to Malaysia in 2011, he co-founded A3 PROJECTS Sdn. Bhd. (@arch.cubic) alongside his partner, Ar. Ho Choon Sin. The duo has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, resulting in a remarkable track record of achievements and recognition. To name a few Meru House, The Helical Pearl, and Zen 88.
As the practice grows, Kenny has successfully undertaken a diverse range of projects showcasing their versatility and adaptability. Through his visionary approach, Kenny continues his dedication in creating spaces that inspire, connect, and enrich the lives of individuals and community alike.
